THE BLOG RULES BY BRIAN

BLOGGING RULES
  1. Always write your own original content.
  2. Do not re-post other peoples comments or blogs or content as if it was your own.
  3. Plagiarism still exists for Bloggers like it does for any written and published words.
  4. When in doubt “Quote it Out” – If you are citing someone elses article or words, put it in quotation marks and site your references.
  5. Photos and Videos should be Originals. If you do use a Youtube Video or stock footage files – Always site them or make sure they are Stock Free or you have paid for them.
  6. Never Defame or Degrade another person in your blog posts. That goes for Celebs, Public Figures, and Private Persons – You can criticize, but in a fair, respectful and non-attacking or threatening way.
  7. Don’t blog someone Else’s listing (*unless you get written permission from Owner or Agent).
  8. Do not make up Statistics, Facts or Figures. If you are guesstimating or opining, make sure you say that.
  9. This is the World Wide Web, so once you publish something it is now out there forever and for anyone to use. So be sure that you have clearly communicated your thoughts and points, before you go live (and checking your spelling wouldn’t be a bad idea either) You only get 1 reputation, don’t ruin it.
  10. NO, LEWD OR INAPPROPRIATE MATERIAL OR MATERIAL NOT SUITABLE FOR PUBLIC VIEWING – Seems Obvious, but it has to be said.
  11. All Real Estate Rules and HUD Regulations still apply to Blogging
  12. Fiduciary is still extended to your clients even when you are blogging, do not reveal private or sensitive information about your clients or anyone.
