Back to School 2012 – 2013 & Arizona Real Estate:
It’s becoming to be that time of the year. As we are in the middle of this wild monsoon season, it’s the time of the year when schools begin to reopen, and some already have. All the schools throughout the valley are in full preparation for the new year and it’s time for you to survey what each school has to offer. Schools to look into include the Paradise Valley Unified School District, Cave Creek Unified School District, the Scottsdale Unified School District (SUSD) in my home community of Scottsdale and many others. The SUSD will reopen for students Wednesday, August 8th.
Of course, you want to look for the best schools in Arizona. According to a May 22, 2012 article in The Daily Beast, Scottsdale Unified’s Desert Mountain High School (ranked 602) and Horizon High School (ranked 764) was ranked in the top 1000 high schools in the United States in 2012. They are comprised as four-year, on-time graduation rate (25%), percent of 2011 graduates accepted to college (25%), AP/IB/AICE tests per student (25%), average SAT and/or ACT score (10%), average AP/IB/AICE exam score (10%) and AP/IB/AICE courses offered per student (5%).
Basis Scottsdale was ranked 3rd overall in the country with diverse and rigorous social science program and in-depth math and science programs.
Other valley area high schools highly ranked include Paradise Valley’s Unified School District’s, Pinnacle High School (ranked 589), and Chandler Unified School District’s, Hamilton High School (ranked 864).
Private Schools:
If you are considering to forgo the public school education process in the valley, there are a variety of private schools to choose from. One place to consider is Notre Dame Preparatory High School in Scottsdale with a reputation of high excellence of learning. Others to consider throughout the valley include Xavier College Preparatory in Phoenix, and Valley Christian High School in Chandler.
