You want to move! But where should you move to?

Hello!  Are you asking yourself, “where should I move to?” I have asked myself that same question over and over again.  I started out in Washington, DC and I was fed up with the cold winters and wanted to move. There are a lot of places to move to and Arizona was one place that popped in my head over and over again.

I love Arizona, and let me start with the reasons why.  The winters here are very mild, they get down to around 30-40 degrees and you can drive 3 hours north and be in 6 feet deep snow in Flagstaff.  Yes, you have hot summers, but they last about 4 months and it’s over. You also don’t spend a whole lot of time outside, so its not like you really notice.

The second reason I love Arizona is becaue of the location. I can be in the mountains in 3 hours, San Diego in 6 hours, LA in 8 hours and the beach in 4 hours. I love that I am not “stuck” in the hot weather. I can go pretty much any where I want to go, and get away from the heat.  I also, love that you can get a flight out of Arizona into any major city for really cheap.

I have lived in Pittsburgh, Wyoming, Washington, DC, Maryland, and Austin TX.  So I know what a lot of the country is like.  I lived in Austin, TX, it was a great place, but more of a college town than a place to go and raise children. Now please don’t email me if you are from Austin, its just my point of view. I lived there for about two years, and moved my way back to Arizona. I have never moved back to ANY city after moving away, so I really think that says a lot.

Oh, yes! One more thing before I forget. Yes we have scorpions, yes we have snakes, but in the 6 years that I have lived here, I have not seen either one.  They are around, but we do not have hurricanes, nor tornados, no earthquakes and no major storms that take out a whole town.   Lets face it, every city has its good and bad, however if your bad out weighs the good, maybe its time to move.

So in ending, if you are looking to move to Arizona, and would like me to be your Realtor ( yes I am blogging because I am a Realtor) Contact me today!  I can help you find your dream home in your new state.
