About Chandler
Chandler, AZ is a suburb of Phoenix and neighbor to Gilbert, AZ. The two cities are actually very similar, except it is the local’s opinion that Gilbert may be more family oriented than Chandler. Chandler, historically an agricultural city, has been growing rapidly, with a population increase of more than 150,000 since 1980. Possibly because Chandler has attracted major corporations such as Intel, Micro-Age, and Amkor, there are a large amount of single professionals. Chandler is also home to several golf courses, retirees have been attracted to the area as well.
Like its neighbor, Chandler has great schools, shopping, and entertainment. Because Chandler has little land left to be developed, real estate prices have visibly increased compared to Gilbert. The land is said to be built out by 2010. |
