About Tempe
Tempe Arizona is the seventh largest city in the state, with a population of 165,000+ people. Because Arizona State University is located here, there are many students and, as a result, activities are more directed toward the 20’s generation. Tempe borders Phoenix, Scottsdale, Chandler and Mesa, making it an excellent central location for access to everything. On Mill Avenue, Tempe’s main shopping strip, the most unique shops, and development is ongoing with new high-rise residential buildings and restaurants. The atmosphere on Mill is very urban. What To Do
Tempe is also very well known for its restaurants. The city is great for a day trip or family outings, with Tempe Town Lake, Tempe’s most popular outdoor destination, in the northern part of town. Residents enjoy biking, jogging, hiking, and even skating at Tempe Beach Park, located in the immediate vicinity. Families can take their children to Splash Playground, a water park at the Lake. Locals recommend Mill Avenue, the ASU Art Museum, and the ASU Arboretum as must-see destinations for visitors.
Undergoing Change
Tempe has always had a “college town” feeling because of the abundance of students, however with the new high-rises coming in the real estate market is undergoing changes, and due to the number of professionals moving in that “college town” feel is starting to change into a more professional environment.
